Rockville Quarry,
Dauphin County, PA.
________________________________________3 miles north of Harrisburg, Rockville Quarry is an abandoned quarry at the north end of a deep rock cut on Hwy. US 22-322 that rises 50' above the road level. Turn east off Front St. onto Roberts Valley Road, 200 feet north of the stone bridge. 0.1 mile east turn along a dirt road parallel to RR tracks, park and walk to the quarry. Or you can pull off the roadside at US 22-322 at the end of the roadcut. I have collected many nice brachiopod fossils as well as trilobites, also found are coral, bryozoa, cephalopods, crinoids.
