Museum Specimens For Sale

The Diamond Hill Quartz Mine in Abbeville County is an excellent site to collect a variety of quartz minerals to include amethyst, skeletal quartz, phantom quartz, smoky quartz, pseudomorphs (encrustation pseudomorphs, quartz after calcite), cacoxenite and a variety of other microminerals.

The mine is owned by Chester Karwoski and his wife Gail, you will need to contact them to set a date to visit the mine. You will need to fill out a liability release form before visiting the mine.

The fee is $15.00 per day per person.

For children under 12 years old, the fee is $6.00 per day. Persons older than 64 years of age who do not dig at Diamond Hill, only surface collect etc., the fee is $6.00 per day.
