I have been into Data Processing and customer service for 36 years. I put 21 years in with U S West in Colorado before they had a major layoff and left 900 managers go. I have been contracting for various companies since. I am currently contracted to IBM on a helpdesk dispatching hardware issues. I went down to NC(Greensboro area) with IBM in 96-97, fell in love with the area and have wanted to go back many times.
I have been collecting rocks since I was little kid. I have a bachelors degree in geology but have never utilized it. When I graduated in 1984, the oil boom in Colorado was dying out. Now, I keep my eyes to the ground in hopes of finding an arrowhead or an interesting rock.
I spent 13 months in the delta of Vietnam in support of PBR boats, 68-69.
I appreciate your letting me be a part of this board as it helps me stay sharp on some of my geology stuff.
