Land Acquisition Program
The "Land Acquisition Program" is a program sponsered by the Mountain Area Gem and Mineral Association, (M.A.G.M.A.) and participating clubs. This program was designed to promote the rockhound hobby and help secure lands for the future of rockhounding in the southeastern United States by claiming, leasing and purchasing lands from government and private individuals for the sole purpose of mineral and gem collecting. All the monies collected for entrance fees to sites and donations made at this site will be deposited into the MAGMA account. All land acquisitions and sales that are planned, will be voted on by participating club members. Hopefully this is an idea that will be well accepted and we may soon have many nice locations to plan future fieldtrips to!.
