Want to join the club?

By joining the Mountain Area Gem and Mineral Association (M.A.G.M.A.), you will be put on the club members contact list. You will receive emails for upcoming trips, events, etc,. There are two types of membership available.

Standard membership: Free for all ages.

Platinum membership: $10.00 per year for adults, $4.00 per year for children 16 y.o.a. and under, or our family membership which is $15.00 per year.

What do you get with the "Platinum Membership"?. You will receive a membership card valid for the membership year, plus:

A window sticker bearing the club logo.

$2.00 off per visit per member for entrance fees to any mine OWNED OR MANAGED by the M.A.G.M.A club, now or in the future.

Discounts to other area mines owned by M.A.G.M.A. members, such as the Rose Creek Corundum Mine in Franklin, N.C. and the Cherokee Ruby Mine also in Franklin, N.C.

$2.00 off admission to the Annual WNC Rockhound Roundup held in August.

$5.00 off the regular admission fee of $25.00 to collect at the JXR Amethyst Mine in Wilkes County, Ga., owned by MAGMA member Terry Ledford, (does not apply during discounted MAGMA club digs).

10% off purchases from the Silver Armadillo rockshop located in the Westgate Shopping Center in West Asheville, N.C.

5% off purchases from the Enter The Earth rockshop located in the Grove Arcade downtown Asheville, N.C.

10% off purchases from the Cornerstone Mineral Shop located at 52 North Lexington Avenue, downtown Asheville, N.C.

5% off purchases from Lauries Rockshop located in Denton, N.C.

15% off purchases from the Natural Mystic mineral and rockshop located at 220 E. Main St. Westminster, S.C.

Remember, this is not a mandatory membership. We will always offer free membership to any who want to join, this is just a way of offering some perks to those who want it and a way to help the club at the same time.
