Want to join the club? By joining the Mountain Area Gem and Mineral Association (M.A.G.M.A.), you will be put on the club members contact list. You will receive emails for upcoming trips, events, etc,. There are two types of membership available. Standard membership: Free for all ages. Platinum membership: $10.00 per year for adults, or our family membership which is $15.00 per year (up to five family members total). MAGMA lifetime membership: $100.00 for adult, $150.00 for family up to five family members. Members 80 years of age or older get a free lifetime membership. What do you get with the "Platinum or Lifetime Membership"? You will receive a membership card valid for the membership year or a lifetime card, plus,
$5.00 per day off the regular $20.00 per day fee for entrance to the Crabtree Emerald Mine. $10.00 per day off the regular $30.00 per day fee for entrance to the Reel Amethyst Mine. (This will save you $40.00 during the four day dig at the mine on Memorial Day weekend, 2012) Only paid (Platinum or Lifetime) MAGMA members will be able to sign up for the fall Glendon pyrite dig with the MAGMA club. You must have a current year membership card to sign up for this dig. 10%

Center in West Asheville, N.C. 10% off purchases from the Cornerstone Mineral Shop located at 52 North Lexington Avenue, downtown Asheville, N.C. 5% off purchases from Laurie's Rock shop located in Denton, N.C. 15% off purchases from the Natural Mystic mineral and rock shop located at 220 E. Main St. Westminster, S.C. Free admission and 2 free buckets at the Cherokee Mine in Franklin, NC. Discounts to other area mines owned by M.A.G.M.A. members, such as the Rose Creek Corundum Mine in Franklin, N.C. and the Masons Ruby Mine also in Franklin, N.C. You must have a current year (2012) membership card to receive discounts for digs etc. Remember, this is not a mandatory membership. We will always offer free membership to any who want to join. This is just a way of offering some perks to those who want it and a way to help the club at the same time.
