The first annual central North Carolina Knap-In and Primitive Skills Rendezvous was held Oct. 3-5 just east of Burlington, NC. The organizers were a little disappointed with the turn-out but those of us who made it had a great time and are looking forward to next year. We will have the whole year to prepare, organize, and get the word out instead of the two months we were afforded this time. Here are a few pictures of what was going on.

As you can see it was a beautiful weekend and we have plenty of room to spread out. Camping is free and so was the firewood.

What’s a Knap-In without a little knapping?

Even rockhounds can try their hand at knapping. Dave41 and I were too embarrassed to let the others watch what we were doing. Making gravel.
