In addition to the pyrite, there were people finding the beautiful pale blue and white fluorite which is known to exist in the smoky quartz in the Glendon mine.

As you would expect, Thomas was seen getting his really big sledge hammer out and attacking the largest bolder on the site. He found some nice material and at the end of the trip had a good load of material to take home.

I have attached some pictures of the people and the material found at the mine. The largest fluorite was found by one of the mine employees but the rest of the material was found by myself. I neither found a large amount nor very large cubes on this trip; but as always, I had a great trip to the Glendon mine.

Gerald Reel and his Son were also at the mine, this is a pic of their finds:
It is very nice of the people of the Glendon mine to allow this large group of people to visit their site twice per year and it is hoped that we will be allowed to collect at this site for many years to come. Finally, we left the Glendon mine about 12:30 PM in clear sunshine and headed home to enjoy of finds of the day. Wish you could have been there with us.
