As the morning went on, people began to find that the pyrite was to be found in several veins in the bottom layer of the mine. Hammers, chisels, sledges and other extracting tools were used to free the large cubes from the base material. Since the pyrite was found in linear veins, the people began to congregate in certain areas of the mine.

While walking around the site, I soon found Steve and Becky working together while extracting several large cubes from a short wall of material. Steve looked like he was helping Becky by offering advice and assistance as needed.

The following picture shows the pyrite cubes embedded in the matrix wall before Becky removed them.
