Just as everyone was getting ready to leave, Ed and Roseanna hit the jackpot. They unearthed a great specimen to add to their collection.

As is the case with most winning teams, the coach gets to keep the trophy. Roseanna was grinning from ear to ear as she climbed into the truck with this beauty and headed for home.

Some of us drove from the Jones Mine over to Diamond Hill, which is only a short distance away. We camped overnight, enjoying a roaring campfire, great food and a conversation that was anything but dull!
The next morning, we attacked the pits at that site. The skeletal pit seemed to be the most prolific area, so many of our members spread out and began digging up nice plates and single crystals.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me, so here are just a few photos of some of the nice skeletal pieces that were found, which were sent to me for this report.

All in all, it was another great weekend of digging with the world's most phenomenal group of gem hunters.
Many thanks to Chet Karwoski, Ed Cansler and Mr. Jones for making it possible.
