Posted 1-3-06: In the previous pages you saw the huge plate that Dave Smith and I dug from the pit, at the end of the day we split our material and Dave got the large plate while I chose the big double terminated crystal. A week or so ago, I talked with Dave and he had not yet cleaned the plate, I asked if I could get it back and clean it up to be displayed in the Henderson County Museum, he agreed and I made the trip to Georgia to pick it up. This is part one of the plate, it came out of the ground in three pieces, this is the first piece cleaned, the second piece is soaking and i'll post a pic when it is finished, the big crystal on top measures 3.5" x 2.5":
