Fieldtrip Report:

Diamond Hill Mine
April 18th, 19th and 20th, 2008

photos by: Rick Bernotas, Scott, The Carolina Gals, Rick Jacquot

The club had a very successful trip to Diamond Hill in April. We were the first group in after Chet completed another big machine dig. Steve Barr was fieldtrip leader for this trip and he advised me that everyone had a great time. I made it down for Saturday with Sandy to see how things were going and was happy to see they were going well. Everyone was finding nice crystals (all amethyst) and I was told this may be the best MAGMA Diamond Hill trip ever!

I saw many members, new and old, all with big smiles as I walked through the mine. I was told of the big finds from Friday which I have pics of included in this report thanks to some of our other members.

The busy club members.

Lynette was there with her Daughter and Husband.

Her Daughter had already found a couple of nice pieces.
