Fieldtrip Report:

Diamond Hill Mine,
Antreville S.C.
September 16th and 17th, 2006

Text and photos by: Lee Fleming

According to Ron, there were about 31 to 35 adults present and about 10 children present. In addition, it appeared to be a pet weekend at Diamond Hill. There was a 3 month old puppy, two small dogs, and a large golden retriever named Buck Naked. It was fun to have all of these critters around camp.

Looking for rocks...

Found a rock!

Charles Granddaughter with her nice smoky crystal.

This was a good weekend trip for MAGMA. We had a great trip even without our fearless leader, Rick was off scuba diving with Jerry. While at the site, both Mark and Steve showed us their rutile specimens from Graves Mountain. Boy does it look like Graves Mountain is beginning to produce rutile chunks again.
