Fieldtrip Report:

Amos Cunningham Mine
Due West , South Carolina
March 15th, 2008

One of our West Virginia members found this nice facet grade beryl in matrix.

About 3:00 it started to cloud up again and I could hear the storms making their way to us. I took this as my cue to exit the area. The rest stayed to continue the dig and get a first hand view of the many tornados that blew through the area. I heard Mark was trying to lasso one to have it dig some more trenches in the mine!

On Sunday, Mickey Cecil led a MAGMA trip to Diamond Hill which he said went great, thanks Mickey!

Overall it was a great dig shared with the 30+ members that showed up. It definately was an adventure!
